Another good Big 12 offense will have to go through Lubbock.

Texas Tech (5-4, 3-3) is celebrating Senior Day under the lights at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas, this Saturday as the Red Raiders play No.17 Texas (6-3, 4-2).

The Longhorns are coming off a 42-41 loss to the No. 9 West Virginia Mountaineers in Austin.

Texas Tech hasn’t beaten Texas in Lubbock since the unforgettable 2008 game when the Red Raiders upset the No. 1 ranked Longhorns.

As Texas Tech looks to become bowl eligible by securing its sixth win of the season, the team must keep these Longhorns in mind:

QB Sam Ehlinger — The sophomore from Austin has improved his game since his freshman season. Last year, Ehlinger completed 158-of-275 passes for 1,915 yards and 11 touchdowns. This year, in the same amount of games played, he’s completed 183-of-285 passes for 2,171 yards and 16 touchdowns. Ehlinger can also frustrate defenses with his feet - in 97 attempts, he has rushed for 329 yards with 9 touchdowns.

“(Ehlinger is) a tough, down the hill, Tebow-type,” Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury said. “He’ll run you over. He’s a physical player for that position. He’s shiftier than you think. You know, (Kyler Murray) is all full-out speed, finds a soft spot and he’s hard to hit. You're going to hit Ehlinger, but he’s going to hit you back.”

WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey — The junior wide receiver ranks No.5 in the Big 12 in total receiving yards with 788 yards on 55 catches. Humphrey totals five touchdowns on the year, and averages 14.3 yards per catch.

“I’ve really been impressed by Humphrey and the progression he’s made from last year to this year,” Kingsbury said. “He’s all over the place, going up and making plays for them everywhere.”

DL Charles Omenihu — Omenihu leads the Longhorns in sacks. He has 7 on the year for a total of 51 yards lost. He has also forced one fumble, has one pass breakup and five quarterback hurries. Omenihu ranks second in the Big 12 in

RB Keaontay Ingram — Ingram is a true freshman who has put up incredible numbers. He has 485 rushing yards on 90 carries with 2 touchdowns, and averages 5.4 yards per carry.
