Brian Orakpo out for Sunday's game

Veteran linebacker Brian Orakpo is out for Sunday's game with an elbow injury.

The Titans declared veteran outside linebacker Brian Orakpo for Sunday’s key road game against the New York Giants.

Orakpo sustained an elbow injury in last Thursday’s 30-9 victory over Jacksonville and did not practice all week for the Titans (7-6), who need a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive.

In addition to Orakpo, the Titans also declared running back David Fluellen (knee) out again this week. He has not played since injuring his knee against New England. Also newly signed tight end Cole Wick is out after tweaking his shoulder on Wednesday.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota showed up on the injury report in Friday as limited with an abdomen injury, but was not given an injury designation, which means he will play Sunday as scheduled.

Receiver Tajae Sharpe was not given an injury designation, though his practice was limited Friday after not practicing on Thursday with an ankle injury.
