The Tennessee Titans activated wide receiver Rishard Matthews from the physically unable to perform list on Sunday afternoon.
The Titans also placed wide receiver Michael Campanaro on injured reserve on Sunday. Campanaro had been out most of training camp and preseason and also had missed time during mini-camp as well.
Matthews’ injury was never disclosed, but a report last week indicated that he had suffered a torn meniscus and had undergone surgery on his knee.
Matthews caught 53 passes for the Titans last year for 766 yards and four touchdowns. He recently negotiated a one-year contract extension. Matthews joined the Titans in 2016 as a free agent from Miami and made an immediate impact, catching 65 passes for 945 yards and nine touchdowns
Campanaro signed with the Titans as a free agent in the off-season.
