After a 1-3 start, Houston has decided that starting quarterback D'Eriq King will sit out the rest of the year

I’ll start with this: What Houston is doing is absolutely within the letter of the rules.

The school, whose football team is off to a 1-3 start, announced Tuesday that starting quarterback D’Eriq King and senior wide receiver Keith Corbin would sit out the rest of the season and take a red-shirt. Their intent, we are told, is to return to the Cougar football team in 2020, when Coach Dana Holgorsen believes some of the shortcomings on the current team will have been addressed.
