Game Preview: Blazers Wrap-Up Road Trip with Tough Test in San Antonio
Both the Portland Trailblazers and San Antonio Spurs will enter Saturday night's game coming off of a back-to-back, but the Spurs hold the advantage of being able to have rested their starters late in a blowout win over the New York Knicks on Friday.
The Blazers, who beat the New Orleans Pelicans, 122-110, on Friday, will hope to remain upright for one last game before heading back to the North West for a four-game home stand.
Portland will likely rely on the hot hand of CJ McCollum, who has scored 25+ in four of the last five games. McCollum had 23 points in Friday's win over the Pelicans, and six Blazers scored in double figures.
The Spurs, who have won six-straight, currently sit in the 6th spot in the West at 40-29, just 2.5 games back of the Blazers. San Antonio is looking to close out the season strong, so as not to finish the year in one of the bottom-three seeds.
On Friday night, Lillard passed San Antonio's Lamarcus Aldridge in the all-time scoring list for Portland Trailblazers, now second all-time. Look for the old running mates to duke it out with friendly jabs in a hard fought game.
