The Cowboys basketball team will open the Mountain West portion of the 2019-20 schedule by hosting Air Force on Dec. 4 and Nexico on Dec. 7 in the earliest start to an MW conference season due to the conference tournament in Las Vegas starting a week earlier in deference to a major construction convention that Vegas will host during the normal time of the MW tournament.

The Cowboys will play all of the MW schools in a home-and-away set up, except for San Jose State and UNLV. The Cowboys will host UNLV and play at San Jose State.

The Cowboys play four home contests in the month of January, hosting San Diego State on Jan. 8, UNLV Jan. 11, Fresno State Jan. 18 and Utah State Jan. 19.

They will host Boise State Feb. 5, Colorado State Feb. 15, and Nevada Feb. 26.

The Cowboys MW road schedule begins New Year’s Day against Boise State. The following Saturday, the Cowboys head to Colorado State. The Cowboys play on the road at San Jose State Feb. 1, New Mexico Feb. 8, Utah State Feb. 19, Air Force Feb. 22, and Fresno State Feb. 29.

The men's MW tournament is scheduled March 4-7 at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The Pokes non-conference schedule will be released at a later date when contracts are finalized.
